Design Like a Pro
Design Like a Pro is my latest venture and this site will hold it’s progress. I started a Youtube channel featuring tutorials that designers could use to aide in their designs. When I started out as a designer, the web was a great place to get inspiration and learn from other designers. However, there wasn’t a lot of places that offered top notch design advice and instruction. I knew that I could have benefited from such a place so I created one in February, 2010. Design Like a Pro is the premiere location for quality design instruction right from a design pro. I’ll teach you steps in Photoshop and InDesign as well as design trends and concepts. My goal is to make you a better designer by giving you the tools you need whether you’re a beginner or intermediate designer.

The Creative
The Creative is a new animation web show that is currently in the beginning stages of production! I’ve always wanted to go back to my design roots (animation) and create something that would make people laugh but also play out some serious stories designers face everyday. The Creative features a cast of characters, designers and office workers that are trying to make it through tough design demands from interesting clients while still trying to maintain their creative freedoms. Fighting constant criticism, fierce competition and budding relationships, The Creative is the new web show that all artists and designers can relate too.
Taken straight from the life of a designer, this new web show is sure to excite and delight anyone. Oh, and did I mention that it will be written, produced and edited by one person….me? Fortunately, I won’t have to record all the voices for the characters. I hope. Stay tuned!
Meet Nicki
Nicki Hart is a digital artist, marketing specialist and public speaker. She has a passion for the arts and believes everyone is an artist. Her recent speaking engagements focus on the business of art and how students can get started in a design career before and after college.
She is a full-time Marketing Manager for a local nonprofit and CEO of Multi-Designs, a design company she began while in college. She currently works with clients all over the world. She shares design tips and tutorials through Digital Hart Studios’s latest venture, Design Like a Pro, on a Youtube.
Hart’s digital abstracts offer a sweet release from the corporate imagery she creates every day. Her artwork was exhibited at the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art and featured on the cover of Advanced Photoshop Magazine’s 50th issue.
